SL Green Sells Tarrytown
Properties for $48M
Although investment sales in the
Westchester market have slowed considerably, a trophy property in Tarrytown, NY
changed hands earlier this month.
Cushman & Wakefield reported the
completion of the sale of 100 and 120
White Plains Rd. for $48 million. The
buildings were sold by New York City-based SL Green to Juster Development of
Tarrytown.
120 White Plains, also known as the
Christiana Building, is a six-story, 205,000-sf
class A office building. 100 White Plains
120 White Plains Rd.
contains 6,000 sf on four stories.
Andrew Merin, vice chairman, David
Bernhaut, executive vice president, Gary
Gabriel, executive vice president, and Jose
Cruz, executive director, of C&W’s capital
markets group, along with Glenn Walsh
and Tom O’Leary, senior directors in
C&W’s Westchester/Fairfield County region, represented the seller and procured
the purchaser.
The Christiana Building, built in 1984,
is nearly 100% occupied. 100 White Plains
Rd., a colonial style mansion, is available
for lease.
Greenwich Hospital,
Digitas Sign Lease Deals
Greenwich Hospital has leased 35,000 sf of
office space at 900 King St. in Rye Brook,
NY and 16,230 sf of outpatient medical office space at 500 W. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich, CT, says Cushman & Wakefield.
The hospital subleased the space at
900 King for non-clinical administrative
departments from Cadbury Schweppes
for a 10-year term. The lease is an ex-
pansion for Greenwich Hospital at
the Rye Brook property, where it now
occupies approximately 70,000 sf on
the first floor. In 2007, the hospital’s
administrative offices relocated to the
203,990-sf building, currently owned
by Brickman Associates.
At 500 W. Putnam, the hospital leased
the space for an endoscopy center and
medical offices. SL Green owns that
four-story, 121,000-sf freestanding office building.
In both deals, C&W’s Christopher
O’Callaghan represented Greenwich
Hospital. Kevin Foley and Larry Ruggieri
of C&W represented Cadbury Schweppes
in the 900 King sublease.
Meanwhile, RFR Realty LLC, owner
and manager of a seven-building, 1.8-mil-
lion-sf class A Stamford office portfolio,
announced that Digitas, a global digital
marketing agency, leased 36,000 sf at Four
Stamford Plaza there. The firm will relocate from Norwalk and occupy the entire
ninth and a portion of the 10th floor of
the 260,581-sf Four Stamford.
